In 2015, a small group of women in Riga gathered around a shared idea—that technology should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender. From that simple belief grew Riga Tech Girls, Latvia’s first initiative specifically aimed at supporting and empowering women in the tech world. It wasn’t born in a boardroom, but out of a genuine need to create safe, encouraging spaces where women could explore coding, product design, data science, and entrepreneurship without intimidation or exclusion.
What began as a few meetups quickly evolved into a structured and far-reaching platform, offering everything from beginner-friendly bootcamps to advanced digital skills training. But it wasn’t just about education—it was about building a community that listens, uplifts, and shares.
